Centrally located, Canterbury School has provided an ideal location for Camp Brainy Bunch! The school features a lovely gated facility with bright and inviting classrooms, plenty of outdoor space, and lovely shaded tables for lunch outside.
Meet our Millbrae Camp Director: Alexess Sosa
Alexess holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology and Developmental Psychobiology from Stanford University receiving numerous honors, and completing coursework in areas such as engaging young children in math and linguistic diversity in classrooms.
Alexess has taught at The Primary School in East Palo Alto as well as Marcy Elementary in Big Spring, Texas. In addition, Alexess has worked as a Reading and Writing Tutor at The Language to Literacy Research Lab at Stanford and as a Research Assistant at Stanford's Neurodevelopment, Affect, and Psychopathology Lab. Alexess is passionate about promoting equity in education.
In addition to teaching, Alexess enjoys playing volleyball, learning how to play new musical instruments, and advocating for equity in education. We are thrilled to have Alexess as our Los Altos Site Director this summer!
