Camp Brainy Bunch teachers are educators who have years of experience working with young learners. They are college graduates who know how to balance the best of camp and the best of school into one amazing summer program. Our teaching assistants are college students from some of the best universities in the country who help each child feel included and engaged. We are proud that many of our camp staff return to Camp Brainy Bunch year after year.
Training & Professional Development
Our staff spends time in the spring getting ready for your child by training and planning together with our headquarters staff. From mastering the instructional content to emergency and safety planning, our staff arrive at camp prepared and committed to make sure our campers will learn a lot, have fun, and make new friends.
Staff Spotlight: Chelsea Toller
Chelsea Toller is a teacher and administrator with over 20 years of experience. She has worked as a classroom teacher, Bilingual Teacher on Special Assignment, School Reform Coach, District English Language Development Coordinator, County Teacher Trainer, and Vice Principal. Chelsea’s work in education leadership has been honored by the United Administrators of Oakland Schools, and she has received theHonoring Our Own Awardfrom the Oakland Unified School District. Her years of experience across all facets of elementary education are invaluable to her role as the director of our elementary division, Camp Brainy Bunch. Chelsea has a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Santa Cruz in Community Studies and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Sonoma State University.
