Camp Brainy Bunch at Loyola Elementary School770 Berry Ave, Los Altos, CA 94024
Please Note: Due to COVID-19, Santa Clara County has stated that children/youth may participate in only one program at a time, and may not move from one program to another more than once every 3 weeks. In compliance with this order, we have organized our camps into blocks. While the schedule has changed, what won't change is our commitment to making sure that kids have fun, learn a lot, and make new friends! Finally, we understand that these county-mandated minimums may add some difficulty for families, so we have gone ahead and proactively discounted our programs by about 20%. Click below to read about our curriculum and available blocks.
- Block A (Legendary Leaders, Daring Detectives, Amazing Attorneys) - Jun 14 - July 2 | $1295
- Block B (Exciting Explorers, Wonderful Writers, Extraordinary Engineers) - July 5 - July 23 | $1295
- Block C (Incredible Inventors, Dynamite Doctors) - July 26 - Aug 6 | $895
Camp Director: Meg Coronel
Meg Coronel is excited to be back for another year of Camp Brainy Bunch. Meg brings many years of experience working with kids. She is currently a third-grade teacher in Monterey County and has also been a preschool teacher, behavior interventionist for students with autism, and an after-school teacher. Meg graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Child and Adolescent Development and a minor in Special Education.
Meg is looking forward to creating lots of memories with her campers this summer and feels like the best part of camp is witnessing all the "aha" and "whoa" moments of her camp kiddos. Outside of camp, you will find Meg, watching musicals, going to concerts, singing karaoke, traveling the world and eating.
Meg has fond memories of her own days as a camper performing a play for her parents that she worked on in theater camp and throwing a pie in her counselor's face as a day camper back in the day!
Lindsay Walsh has worked at Camp Brainy Bunch as a camp counselor and instructor since the summer of 2017. While earning her BA in Communication Studies at San Jose State University, she worked as a TA for 2nd graders focusing on reading and writing, led a Shakespeare summer camp for 2nd-6th graders, and tutored college students on writing and public speaking. She is currently working towards her MA degree at San Jose State University in Communication Studies while she teaches public speaking to college students.
This summer, Lindsay is most looking forward to trying new and fun activities with all the campers and watching them learn from each other. Outside of school, she likes to paint, make pottery, play basketball, cook, and soak up the sun at the beach. Lindsay's favorite childhood summer camp memory is creating a rocket out of everyday materials and watching them launch across the soccer field.
