Camp Brainy Bunch at Millbrae's Green Hills Elementary School

Green Hills Elementary has been the home of Camp Brainy Bunch Millbrae since 2016. Located west of El Camino Real, the school comes with the ideal combination of big classrooms and lots of outdoor space.

Director Week 1: Kritika Srinivasan

Kritika Srinivasan is a 2nd Grade teacher in Dallas, TX during the school year but cherishes her time back in the Bay during the summer. She finished her dual degree in Creative Writing and Education at UC Riverside and is finishing up her masters through Johns Hopkins University. Kritika is a well established professional in the childcare and teaching industry with over 10 years of volunteer hours, Americorps service, and teaching. In her personal time, Kritika fosters kittens and works with a local rescue in Dallas to help the community learn about cats as well as to find their "purrfect" partner! She loves giving back to the people around her, especially to the animals.

Kritika has been with Camp Brainy Bunch for the past 3 years and is thrilled to come back as Director for this summer. CBB has offered her so many amazing opportunities to build meaningful connections with students in an environment that fosters learning, creativity, and fun. This summer, her campers have a lot to look forward to- exciting challenges, new friendships, and a world of learning new things. Kritika is known for creating unique learning extensions to camp activities. For example, in the Inventors week of CBB, Kritika encouraged students to recreate solar cookers from remaining materials. The kids had a BLAST eating the s'mores made in their own inventions.

Director Weeks 2 & 3: Kristina Apodaca

Kristina Apodaca teaches 7th and 8th grade Culinary Art and English Language Development. She also tutors Math and Language Arts specializing in essay development. Kristina holds a bachelor's in Family and Consumer Sciences and master's in Educational Leadership.

Kristina joined the Camp Brainy Bunch team in 2018 and is super pumped up to be able to have fun with campers again this summer. The thing Kristina loves the most about Camp Brainy is how much fun kids have while learning here. She is ready to help make summer 2022 unforgettable at Camp Brainy!
